This one was created with an abstract appeal in mind. It was inspired by one of the sonnets from Louise Labé’s Love Sonnets & Elegies, translated from the French by Richard Sieburth.

“Film Trailer”

‘That One Day’
The focus is a dark comedy about job hunting and seeking basic necessities, like food. I found 5 different videos that I clipped together to make this project trailer. I use Garageband to compose the music, the background sound effects (the city noises, siren, and airplane), and the voice-overs. In Premiere Pro, I edited the clips and enhanced the voice-overs by changing the pitch of my voice. I used Illustrator to create the awards and logo work, and I used After Effects to animate the Crosshatch Films logo. The main audience are for “comedy/dark comedy” aficionados. If it were real and if it went to full production, I would imagine a highly sarcastic, dark comedic take on the journey young adults take to find work and have a living. I like to imagine a parody of 500 Days of Summer, but for job hunting.
